Good Times
Last night I spent some good time in the Word and here are a few thoughts I got from 1 Timothy 4.
v.8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things; holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.
v.12 Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
v.15-16 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
I was encouraged that I need to view my life as an example of God’s wonderful creation. When I am not in “need” of God that is when I am to remember His promises and seek after Him even more. Verse 15 really challenged me to live a life that people can see God through me. This is in no way being arrogant, but rather living confident in God’s promises.
